मेरी आंखों में ये किसकी झलक है,
मेरी साँसों में ये किसकी महक है,
हाँ, वो मेरा दिल ही चटका था जरा,
कानो में जिसकी अब तक खनक है।
अतीत के खंडहरों के बीच कहीं,
कोई मन्दिर सूना टुटा-टुटा,
वो ही तुम्हारी मूरत प्यारी सी,
वो ही चेहरा मेरा झुका- झुका,
जो तेरे चरणों में चदाये थे मैनें कभी,
उन्ही फूलों की हर कहीं [...]

Every child develops and grows,
It seems his right,
Every mile-stone comes so naturally,
You thank God- for his magic.
But it’ not like that always,
All kids are not so privileged.
Some child has to grow-
Empty stomach, uncovered body,
shivering with cold, burning with sun,
On footpath.
Some kids are not privileged,
even to have a perfect body,
They grow without limbs,
Work without hands, Walk [...]

A girl child,
God’s most beautiful creation,
When she takes first breath-and cry,
you dance and rejoice.
When she opens her sparkling eyes,
You see your whole world.
Your heart overwhelms,
watching her first smile…
When she utters her first word,
your dictionary changes meaning…
When she stands, with your support,
and hold your hand, tightly with fear,
You feel pride and guide her.
